WALNUT DELUXE CLEANERS AND TAYLORS, INC.

Walnut was founded in the 1940's by Mr. and Mrs. Parker, on Bower Street off Walnut Avenue in Roxbury. They later moved the business to 52 Humboldt Avenue and turned the business over to a relative. The Canty family then took the business over in 1957.

In 1961, with a steady growth of the business, the Canty’s moved Walnut Cleaners to 650 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester and then in 1975 to 700 Blue Hill Avenue where we are presently located.

In order to maintain current knowledge of different fabrics and textile blends, we are members of the International Fabricare Institute and the New England Fabricate Association.These Institutions aid us in properly caring for your
garments.

For the past three years, Mr. Canty has been a board member of N.E.F.A.
